1 If your chest is wheezing and anxious, rub some Zambuck ointment on the chest or on a cloth that you put on the chest. Keep warm. This will help to provide some relief.
2 The following mixture may help you with general chest problems such as coughs, bronchitis and more. It helps to loosen phlegm and it also relieves a dry cough. It also reduces the sinus phlegm and controls the Post Nasal Drip. Mix the following in a large glass bottle with a tight screw cap: 1 bottle of Lennon Paragora, 1 bottle of Lennon Turlington, 1 bottle Lennon “Epejuana Tinktuur”, 1 bottle of Lennon “Borsdruppels”, 1 bottle of “Roulyn olie” and a half bottle of honey. Mix it together until everything is mixed in the honey. Take a tablespoon full, morning and night. Please note that children between three to eight year should only take half a tablespoon.
3 Mix honey and lemon juice in equal parts and take it when you cough.
4 If you have a congested chest, you can use Camphor over a bowl of steam. You only have to use 5 drops in boiling water, and you must remember to keep yourself warm.

Remedy

1 If you have cold hands, grab onto your wrists. Your hands will be warm soon.
2 If you use honey regularly, it will help you avoid colds and flu. Honey is a natural defence against germs.
3 Mix 1 bottle peppermint drops, 1 bottle of linseed oil, 1 bottle of cough drops and 1 bottle of honey. Drink it three times a day.
4 Mix 1 cup of boiling water with 2 ml ginger and 1 teaspoon cream of tartar. Add enough sugar to make it tasty. Drink it as hot as possible, go to bed and keep yourself warm. You will sweat out the cold.
5 Mix a teaspoon of honey, a tot of vinegar and a tot of water water. Gargle with it as needed.
6 Take 1 large spoonful of honey. Add the yolk of one egg and 20 drops of cough drops and beat well until it is mixed thoroughly. Take a teaspoonful every three hours.
7 Take a cup of boiling water and add the juice of one lemon to it. Drink the mixture when you go to bed. You can us it for a couple of nights and it helps to break the cold.
8 At night when you go to bed, you can use a knife’s edge of baking soda and add it to two teaspoons of boiling water. Allow it to cool slightly and drink. The mixture can also be used to spray in the nose, about 20 drops in each.
9 Spread the bath edge with Vicks, fill with hot water and keep the bathroom door closed so y=that the bathroom can steam. Then rub Vicks on your chest, back and under your feet. Enter the bath. When you are finished, dress yourself nice and toasty, go to bed and rest.
10 When you have a stuffy nose, put 1 teaspoon of honey in a basin of boiling water. Cover your head with a towel and breathe deeply.
11 For head colds, add a quarter cup of vinegar to the water that you use to steam. Bend over the dish, throw a towel or blanket over your head and breathe deeply to inhale the steam. It helps to relieve head colds and it makes congestion disappear.
12 If you go to bed at night, put a little eucalyptus oil on your pillow. You breathe it in while you sleep and it helps to relieve your cold symptoms.
